Twilight

Ok, so nobody laugh at me. I just picked up Twilight yesterday and finished. Oh my goodness! What an awesome read. I was totally hooked and found myself giggling like a little girl. ("Oh, he's totally into her!" Dumb stuff like that.) It was totally awesome though. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

Busy Busy Busy

Things have been so hectic around the Johnson household lately so I must apologize to my blog for being neglectful (Sorry blog). Like I last wrote, we moved into a new house a few weeks ago. I have successfully conquered the clutter-bug. The dust is settling and I especially am able to enjoy a nice clean house. We had a birthday party for a very special 1yr.old a few days later. So much fun. She was dressed so adorable and it's all thanks to her fabulous momma. (Love you Julia) The next night was trunk-or-treat. So much fun! I had never been to one before. I thought it was fabulous. And my amzing husband was working on the bowling booth for 3/4 of the night because I couldn't keep my big mouth shut. Oh well...another reason to love him. All the while, he's been working on Prop 8 (almost spelled poop) stuff for a few months. We had stake conference in Havasu on Saturday and telecast on Sunday. Then Trish and I had a wonderful (relaxed) shopping trip out in Palm Desert and Indio. (WinCo. WinCo.) Never going grocery shopping with a man again. We rushed back and watched the election. Stayed up super late trying to figure out if 8 had passed or not (and thankfully it did). Then getting back into routine at church for Primary. We also went camping for the first time in Blythe. That was awesome! (Thanks everyone and thank you Cookie for butt-coals.) Now I have homework I am still working on, I have to teach sharing time (woo hoo!), and prepare for Thanksgiving.
Granted I do not have children so I don't know how busy it can get, but I do have the luxury of saying that I'm not bored. Isn't it wonderful to be busy and feel as if you are completing tasks and taking care of business. ( Trish- I'm flashing to "I work hard for the money. So hard for the money.") Unfortunately I have no pictures so this probably won't be read because it is so long and non-colorful, but I needed to catch up.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Sugar Cookies

The beginning The middle

and the End!

Ok I have officially been domesticated. I made sugar cookies from scratch this weekend. I know, I know...I hear the gasps of shock. I decided that I wanted to try this since my mom makes sugar cookies every Christmas, I thought that it would be fun. So I dug out my cookie cutters and got to work. It was so much fun and so easy. If I can do it, anyone can. I even made the icing from scratch. Not to sound braggy, but this is huge for me...just ask my husband.
Look out Martha Stewart, Erica Johnson is in town!

Moved In

So much stuff!! AHHH! We hadn't moved in our big furniture until the next day, so Cade is improvising.
Huge, ripped muscles for such an occasion!

(Huge Sigh of Relief!!!) It's official. We have moved into our permanent residence. FINALLY!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! It has been such a roller-coaster, but we have finally moved into a house where we won't live for just a year and then move out. It's so nice. It is such a lovely home and I am so blessed to be able to be here. Thanks to Bryce and Trish for helping us out! Really appreciate it. You guys are the best! Once the house is cleaned up and things are where they are supposed to be I will put more pics up, but these are some from moving in.

I've Been Tagged!

Easter 2007 My senior prom. (this is his "priesthood project" for those of you who know the story.)
Our wedding day. I love him soooo much!

I've been tagged!

1. Where did we meet? We met in Mesa, AZ. My gf sister was having a baby over Thanksgiving break of my senior year in high school. She didn't want to be by herself, so I tagged along and happened to meet a handsome RM.
2. How long did we date? We got married on the 1 year anniversary of our first date in AZ.

3. How long have you been married? 3 years on November 26

4. What does he do that surprises you? I love it when he does little things to help me around the house. He also sneaks kisses that are unexpected, like when I'm doing the dishes or something.

5. What is your favorite feature of his? His laugh. It's loud and hearty and completely genuine.

6. What is your favorite quality of his? My favorite quality is that he is such a hard worker. Whatever he is asked to do, he will give it 200%. He wants to do the best he can at everything that is given to him. He works hard at being a good husband and priesthood holder. He is also working at preparing to be a father someday.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? He usually calls me "babe". (And no I don't oink in return)
8. What is his favorite color? Red

9. What is his favorite food? I think anything Mexican, but whenever I cook some Cajun I think that takes 1st.

10. What is his favorite sport? His favorite sport is football. He's a huge A.S.U. Sundevils fan, even through the hard times (like this year).

11. When and where was your first kiss? Our first kiss was on our first date (scandalous I know). He had just dropped me off and I had to let my gf's aunt and uncle know I was home. I came back to tell him thanks for a great night and he laid one on me. (whatever he says I was the kiss-ee not the kisser, but it was well-received).

12. Favorite thing to do as a couple? I would say we don't just have one thing, but we like to hang out together (either by ourselves or with friends) and laughing is another fave.

13. Does he have a hidden talent? I'd say his hidden talent would have to be making me laugh when I want to be mad at him.

14. How old is he? 26, but he's turning 27 on November 27. (It's his golden birthday)

15. Who said "I love you" first. He did.

16. What is his favorite type of music? I would say that he is in a transition phase right now. We both used to really like hip-hop,but we have always liked rock and alternative (old and new). We also dig country.

17. What do you admire most about him? Everything. He tries so hard to make life so easy and comfortable for me. It's such a blessing. And he loves me so much and would do whatever he could to make me happy.

18. Do you think he will read this? No. The only things that he looks at on the Internet is e-mail and ESPN, which gives me free rein to gush over him as much as I please.

I tag Ruthanne P. Have fun!

Primary Program

We had our Primary Program today during sacrament. It was so adorable. It was obvious that the kids worked on their parts. They weren't nervous about going up to the microphone at all. It was such a wonderful experience, but I am definitely relieved that it is over. Thanks to all the parents and teachers who helped us out. We really appreciate it.

My Birthday!!!

Thanks for spending my b-day with me!!!

Redlands Temple. So gorgeous!!! I am officially 21. WOO- HOO!!! Goodbye childhood...Hello adulthood!!! I am officially out of the child years. It was such an awesome night. We caravaned with two of our really good friends out to Redlands. I had never been out to that part of Cali before and it was so nice. The weather was amazing. I picked out this British restaurant that I was excited to try. Unfortunately when we got there, we were bombarded by cigarette smoke. So no thanks! We went to another place to eat and got birthday brownie sundaes (which were so darn good that I think my waist expanded on the way to the car) and then went to do a session at the temple. Is there any other way to have a wonderful 21st birthday? To be with the man of your dreams, great friends, and have a completely spiritual experience. It was so much fun. Thanks again to Trish and Bryce for coming out to celebrate. Love you guys!
