Bay Area Discovery Museum

If any of you head up to San Francisco, this is a must! It was an amazing museum. It was inexpensive admission (could be because our Littles are still teeny) and the atmosphere was incredible. Each building has a different "theme" if you will. There was an art center, a center for kids who are under 36 inches, a hands on center with science experiments, an outdoor play area with a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge and a ship wreck and so much more. It was incredible. The weather was amazing. And it was Fleet Week so all the shops were docked across the bay. The Blue Angels were performing so we were able to watch that on the grounds and there were sailboats everywhere. It was amazing.

October Seminar

Cade is part of the California Agriculture Leadership Foundation. There was a seminar in San Francisco this past week that the spouses were invited to attend. So we loaded up the sub and headed north. We stopped in Cherry Valley to visit the M family. We miss them so much. We had some amazing Cafe Rio and I about went to heaven. Steak burrito any day. Yum. Then we scooted up to Roseville to visit the V family. It was so nice to visit with these guys. Definitely brought back memories and they were able to meet Easton. Savannah was big enough to play with the kids. They were so sweet to her.

Easton Paul

Easton has been an amazing baby. He was born July 9th at 5:45 pm. Crazy fast delivery. That's a whole other story. He is so kind and patient. Never minds the pokes and loving Savannah gives him. He only whines when he has a dirty bum or is super tired. It's an entirely different experience.
He is already smiling and jabbering away to his momma (which I love). I've even seen him giving some ladies the "Joey- how you doin?" look. Of course they love that. He is sleeping really well and waking up about once a night. Ah blissful sleep. I am so excited to see what this little man is going to do. I think he is going to be a lover. He has such kind eyes and is so quick to smile or laugh. He cuddles with me constantly, which makes it super hard for me to get anything done. But it's a good problem to have...two itty bitties that want to snuggle. Oh well. What's a girl to do :)

It seems like forever

I will have to catch up with pics of me being pregnant with Easton but it will have to wait for another time. :-) but this will be a good bit to share.

I'm 1!!!

   I can't believe that it finally happened.  My little baby turned one.  Where did it go? Time just seemed to fly by without even a chance of me saying, more like yelling, "SLOW DOWN!".  Her birthday was of course pink with a smidge of zebra.  I gotta do it folks. :-) We had family and a few close friends come to celebrate with us.  It was so nice of everyone to come.  She was definitely the princess of the day.  But what was funny was that she didn't even want her cake at first.  I had to dip her hands in and once she got a taste of her frosting, it was all over.  She wanted it and more.  But that also caused a veggie relapse for the past few months.  Can't say I blame her though :-)

For Christmas this year, we went over to my parents' place in ole' Alabam'.  It is so different over there, but oh so nice.  My folks had a special Christmas vacation cooked up for us.  We were able to spend a week on the Florida coast.  Can I just say that it was AMAZING!!! We stayed in this beach house that was right on the water.  We didn't even need to open the doors or windows to hear the waves crashing. It was amazing.  The weather was splendid.  We went to a aviation museum not far away, ate some amazing food, and enjoyed the atmosphere.  Then it was back to Mimi and Poppa's for some fun times. Oh and Christmas ;-) We had an amazing time.

Halloween 2011

   Trying to catch up on posts is not one of the easiest things to do.  I have been so slow with uploading pictures from my phone and camera that it is so not funny.  But these were just too sweet and I'm taking a note from a friend's book and going to turn these posts into a yearly family journal.  It'll be nice and pretty if I put the pictures in it. :-/ 

This year was so exciting for Cade and I.  It was our first holidays as parents and we (mostly I) did what probably 95% of first-time parents do and take their kids to all sorts of holiday events that they will have no idea about.  Oh well.  Its the thought that counts.  Halloween was super fun.  In typical Blythe fashion, it was still a warm 90 degrees during the day.  Poor Savannah was sweating by the time we left the pumpkin patch at the high school.  But we had gotten her an outfit and her Mimi and Poppa had given her two so we were going to wear them.  She was such a good trooper.

 I learned a valuable lesson this year in regards to carving pumpkins.  Especially living in a warmer climate, it is best to wait until the last possible second to carve because otherwise your pumpkins will wilt and look as if they imploded on themselves.  I didn't get pictures of that, but it was pretty gross.

  A couple of our dear friends had a fun Halloween party that Cade and I were able to attend together.  Cade even dressed up. :-) Big points in my book! It was so much fun and the food was so yummy!!!

   We even took Savannah trick-or-treating this year.  We went to our ward's truck-or-treat as well.  It was so much fun.  The primary put so much work into it and it was amazing.  Everyone had a great time.  It was fun to see all the costumes that everyone had thought of.  I'm excited for next year when Savannah has a little bit more of an idea of what c-a-n-d-y is.  Because then mommy gets to eat it. Haha
