I have been trying to be a little more active in the decorating department here at home. I am trying to feel more settled in. It's been fun for sure.

Crafts so I stay Off My Feet

My doctors have all said for me to stay off of my feet, which if you know me, is extremely hard for me. So I pulled out my sewing machine and made these personalized burp cloths. I have seen a few and thought that they would be so cute to make. I had a lot of fun.

Interesting is the month of May

Let's see...where to begin...May has been interesting to say the least. January was Cade's month of events and apparently I was lacking in my attention levels. May started off beautifully. I was able to be at my dear dear friend's sealing. It was so beautiful and the spirit was so strong. I was a big baby and cried and cried. We left them to enjoy time with their families and went out to eat with Bishop and Sandy. We had a great time with them. I have been trying to be more aware of asking if certain foods have eggs in them when we go out to eat and of course 99% of the menu with meat had eggs intermingled somehow. SO I tried some grilled shrimp instead. Well apparently that was the wrong choice because within a couple hours I had a mega case of food poisoning. It was terrible.
So I get over that within a few days. We had a great turn out for our YW hamburger/cheeseburger sale. So many people came out and supported us. It was so wonderful to see. That Sunday was Mother's Day. We were going to have family come over and do a little get together. However, when I was sitting in sacrament, my arm had started to go numb and I was having severe pains in my chest. I went home and relaxed. The family came over and we had a great time. Woke up the next morning and went to work. Half way through the morning I couldn't breathe and had a massive headache and fever. I went home and laid down thinking that it would help. I couldn't complete thoughts in my mind and knew I was in trouble. SO Cade rushed me down to Yuma where they diagnosed me with pneumonia and a 102 fever.
I was on bed rest for a week and a half when I got another phone call. According to the x-ray, my left lung was collapsing and I needed medical attention ASAP. We went to Palm Springs to the hospital where the were going to put a tube in the front of my chest to get the air out that had collected in between my lung and rib cage. However, the chest scan they had done showed that there was not only air, but fluid as well. So I had to get a tube in my back that would drain the fluid and help the air leak out. After they put the tube in, I immediately drained half a liter. I was there for five days. I have never been so happy to leave a place in my life. There is nothing like sitting and waiting to see what is wrong with you. Thankfully, every thing is supposed to be alright. Blessings blessings that there is technology out there that can detect problems like this and people who can help.
