Elders Quorum Activity

Hey there everyone,
With Cade just being called to Elders Quorum President Sunday, we weren't able to make fliers or anything to hand out on Sunday.
Game plan:
Friday, the 24th, at 6pm
6th Ave. Levee
Bring your own chairs.
We will be having hot dogs and hamburgers.
Please bring some sort of finger food (side dish) or some sort of easy dessert (there won't be plates for that, sorry).
Let me know if you will or will not be attending. I know it's last minute, but details were just banged out last night with the presidency.
Hope to see you there.

I'm An Aunt!!!!!!!

Look at how happy she is! Grandma was so excited that she is here!
Proud Grandpa!
Look at how beautiful Mommy is! Chelsea was so amazing! Devenee is gorgeous!
Nanan hogging the baby. I loved getting to finally hold her!
On July 8 at 2:02 AM Chelsea and Boris welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Devinee, into the world. She was 19 3/4 in. long weighing 7 lb. 10 oz. She is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. Ron, Jill, and I arrived at the hospital around 4:30 on the afternoon of the 7th. Chelsea was in such good spirits. She was laughing and chatting with everyone. Seven hours later, she started to push. We went to the waiting room as we (Ron, Jill, Peter, Rosa, and myself) waited anxiously for a scrap of news. Boris came in around 2:40 to tell us the news. We watched the video the following day. I was so proud of Chelsea. She listened to her coaching and didn't utter a word. She went through it with such grace, like she had done it a dozen times before. She was so wonderful. I'm so grateful for these little miracles. Children come into the world knowing exactly what do. It is so amazing and makes me so grateful to my Heavenly Father for his wisdom. He knows what we need. I'm grateful for the example of being a parent that He provides for each of us.

4th of July

Independence Day was so much fun. We had a pretty relax day. Nothing too crazy going on. That afternoon we headed down to my girlfriend, Tanille's, house. We had a BBQ was some people from church. It was so much fun. There was this huge water slide/bouncy house for the kids, but Tanille and I decided to have a little fun of our own. Unfortunately (maybe even subconsciously) I forgot the camera at home, so there will be no photographic evidence of this event. Just kidding. It was a lot of fun. Hanging out with all sorts of lovely people. It was definitely relaxing. That night, the raceway was doing a spectacular fireworks show so we all got out our lawn chairs and watched. It was so great to hear the songs about our country and the freedom that we have. It was so fantastic! After everyone left, we stayed behind to clean up some. After that was done, we blew the slide up again and played a little while longer. Thanks to the Crawfords for a fantastic evening and being so gracious to open up your home to everyone!

Ode to the Murrills

From being only an 8 minute drive on the interstate to an all day temple trip/Murrill extravaganza. June 20th was the hardest day I have had since moving to Blythe. I had just gotten back from the trek the night before, but I knew that I had something hard to do the next morning. I had to help one of my best friends move. The Murrills were moving on to their next adventure. They had their family there to help them move. They have the best family. They are always so sweet. I got up that morning trying to keep it all together. I was tearing up right as I pulled into their subdivision on saw the big trailer sitting in their driveway. I helped move a few things but they had already had everything pretty much packed up. I couldn't believe it. I thought that I would at least have an hour or so with them, but that's the way they are. If they're going to do it, they're going to do it well and quickly. It was so hard to say goodbye. We have hugs and said goodbye for like an hour. And then after they pulled away, we sat on the porch and cried and talked for another hour and a half. It was so hard. We had so many great times together: camping trips, birthday parties, girls nights, boys nights, etc. I will always cherish those memories and make many more as we travel back and forth to see each other.

Love you guys and miss you terribly. Can't wait to get together again.
