Magic Kingdom

The king and queen of Disney World

The second day we went to Magic Kingdom. Ladies, I have to put the good word in for my husband. He let me do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted the whole trip. I am so lucky. We woke up and headed out the door. We did all sorts of things: Pirates of the Carribean, the Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion to name a few. It was so much fun. To be a little sappy, I almost started crying twice. Some people might not get it, but Disney was such a huge thing to me growing up. I still love all my Disney movies. It was such an overwhelming feeling to be back at this place that meant soo much to me when I was younger and to be able to share it with Cade was awesome.
(Just to let everyone know I have like 300 pictures so this is just the tip of the tip of the iceberg)

Christmas Holidays

Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Sci-Fi Diner that we ate dinner at for the first night.
The Indiana Jones Stunt Show
The Hollywood Tower of Terror
The Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster

For those of you who don't know, Cade and I headed out to Alabama for the holidays. We spent the past few days at Disney World. The first night we got there we decided to go to one of the smaller parks in Disney World, Hollywood Studios. It's supposed to resemble a Hollywood backlot with all sorts of old shops and restaurants of old Hollywood. Super cool. We went to the Sci-Fi diner which has all these old convertibles turned into booths to eat at. There is a huge movie screen to help it look like an old drive-up movie theater. Super awesome and super good food. After letting it settle for a bit, we decided to hit the rides. We did the Tower of Terrror (my personal favorite). You are supposed to have gotten trapped in the twilight zone. They bring you up so many stories and let the elevator free-fall over and over and over. The rides are never the same. Super awesome. Then we hit up the Rockin' rollercoaster. It was an awesome indoor coaster with Aerosmith blaring the whole time. Super sweet. After doing a few other rides and catching a show, we decided to pack it up after driving there for 8 hours that morning. Needless to say, we were toast.

1st Christmas Tree

Our First Casualty

Cade decorating the tree.

The Friday after Thanksgiving Cade finally caved and said that we could buy our first Christmas tree ever and it was a real one. Oh, it was so lovely! My house smelled of pine every day. In the mornings getting ready to go running was my favorite time. Oh, I love Christmas trees. We had very few ornaments which was fine. We have decided to start the tradition that every year we would go together and get a new ornament for the two of us. Anyway as you can see in the picture above, Cade was putting these glass balls on the tree. What I didn't know was that instead of putting the ribbon on the branch, he was putting the plastic ring from the ring on it. So when I went to go cut the tag off of one, it made a free fall to our tile. It was a joint-effort. It's all good though. Makes a good story for our first tree.

San Diego

Pictures of the front of the San Diego temple

Cade had an alfalfa symposium in San Diego for a few days in the beginning of December. I didn't know that they had things such as farmers conferences, but I guess you learn something new everyday. I got to sit in the hotel room or go across the street to the mall/movie theater (yes I saw Twilight again). It was really good for Cade, though. He learned a lot about his field, which was the purpose of going in the first place. We got to have lunch with Crooks one day (love you Crooks),too. On the last day, we went to the San Diego temple to do a morning session and wound up being able to do sealings as well in the room we were sealed in. We haven't been able to go to do a session since we were sealed. It was awesome. Such a wonderful experience. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life and be worthy to do the work in the temples and have a husband who can go and do the work with me.

Catching up

So I have totally slacked with blogging these past few weeks. There has just been so much that has happened in such a short amount of time that I haven't had time to get on here and update. Sorry blog universe. Anyway I'm at my parents' house right now and taking responsibility for my lack of action.

I did my first Thanksgiving this year. I know...Shocker I didn't poison anyone. It was actually pretty well done if I may say so myself. We just had Cade's family over. It was nice to have everyone come over and just talk for a few hours and enjoy each other's company. A good thing was that I didn't stress at all, which is a first. I did cook way too much food.

Twilight times 3

I totally went and saw Twilight for the third time (not embarrassed either to admit it) with Ruth last night. Thanks Ruth for indulging me and going. It was super awesome. (I slept with my pin on last night. J/K)

TWILIGHT!!!!!
